listen up girls, here's my top ten movies of 2004 list

OK, this list has not been long and thought out, like a writing on Dr. King. It's just a list I quickly came up with. Maybe you can join in the fun by making your own Top 10 Movies of 2004- in less than half an hour, in RANDOM ORDER. Here's mine:

Spanglish
The Village
The Passion of the Christ
Supersize Me
Ray
Friday Night Lights
Napolean Dynomite (sp?)
King Arthur
Return of the King (cheer nerds, cheer!)
Wicker Park (and a soundtrack to match!)

runners up- Luether (this is a great one, check it out... maybe I should have put it in the 10), and The Terminal

Oh, comments and lists, COME!

Merry Christmas everyone! Buy yourself a gift for Christmas. Sometimes it is good to giveth to thyself. -Travis

if you had to choose just one, which would it be? You're stuck on a desert island with a dvd player that is powered by the sun and you have but one dvd. Which would you prefer that dvd be?

That's a pretty decent list..although some of them I haven't seen yet. I think Garden State should be on there. Just a thought.

Garden State not being on my list. Well, I liked the movie and it got me re-thinking about the desperation that exists in life, but I guess it just didn't leave an impression on me like the other movies did for one reason or another.
AFI (American Film Institute) just released their movies of the year:
The Aviator (I'm looking forward to seeing this one)
Collateral
Eternal Sunshine...
Friday Night Lights
The Incredibles
Kinsey
Maria Full of Grace
Million Dollar Baby
Sideways
Spider-Man 2
AFI and I only agreed on Friday Night Lights. I guess I am suprised that AFI didn't put the Sponge Bob movie on their list. And Spider-Man 2??? Huh?
Anyway, where is everyone else's list?

Alright so I dont know about top ten movies of this year. I doubt if I saw 10 current movies, the whole africa, MC, now college thing screwed that up. However I will mention that Alexander was the worst film I saw this year. So instead I will throw down my favorite 20 movies of all time, in no particular order. These are not what I nessacarily what I think are the best, that would be a whole nother list: these are just the ones that I can always watch and enjoy--they are my comfort films some inspire others make me laugh.

1. The Thin Red Line
2. The Pianist
3. American History X
4. The Insider
5. It Happened One Night
6. Ferris Buellers Day Off
7. Zoolander
8. Les Misrables
9. The Mission
10. Monty Python and The Holy Grail
11. Casablanca
12. Look Who's Coming to Dinner
13. The Emporer and the Assassin
14. King of Masks

Bryan, I was wondering what you thought of my comments on your UN post. Also, wondering if you had any comments on Dr. King's speeches.

peace,

Garden State
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Anchorman(this movie rules!)
Napoleon Dynomite
The Passion
Motorcycle Diaries
Supersize Me(as disgusting as it was--and I'm a vegetarian..it still grossed me out)
